Stirring the Spirit of Community at Rosewood Pointe

Residential structures splendid in their simplicity and meticulously manicured-garden landscapes work together in evoking that distinct resort feel.

Soothing peace is what one instantly senses upon entering its sprawling grounds.  Residential structures splendid in their simplicity and meticulously manicured landscapes go together in evoking that distinct resort feel in a property that you would not imagine is mere minutes away from the metro's harried commercial hubs.

Further that experience by setting foot inside any of the residential buildings where refreshing elements of the outside as a calm breeze, gentle sunlight, and lush greens are ingeniously let in.  And of course, the sensibly laid out units will simply cocoon you in utmost privacy and comfort.

Indeed, tranquility is a reward that awaits anyone who chooses Rosewood Pointe as home.  But then, the lifestyle that this prime project guarantees is one that goes well beyond personal pockets of peace.  Helpful heaps of harmony is very much in the agenda as well.

This is where the hardworking team of DMCI Homes' Property Management Group comes in.

"Our main function really is to preserve the value of the property," says Ramon Concepcion of the Property Management Office (PMO).  And they do so by ensuring that the structural components of the development are in tip-top shape and more importantly, that the day-to-day experiences of the residents are pleasantly worthwhile.

"The instant the buyer accepts his unit," explains Concepcion, "we are there by his side."  Without being obtrusive, the PMO coordinates the move-in of residents, makes sure that property rules and regulations are understood, assists in acquiring basic utility applications, and facilitates billing and collection of dues.  Additionally, the PMO is in charge of security, housekeeping, and the maintenance of common areas and facilities.

Now that more and more are moving in to their new homes at Rosewood Pointe, the Property Management Office is actively looking to foster camaraderie and promote the spirit of community among homeowners.

This summer, Rosewood Pointe is offering swimming and taekwondo clinics for kids.  Every so often, it carries out film showings and movie premieres for the residents.  Regular Sunday masses are also held at the clubhouse.  On top of this, the PMO has institutionalized get-togethers and activities to commemorate some of our most celebrated holidays and festivals such as Christmas, Halloween and Easter.

The Property Management Group is now embarking on a grander and more ambitious mission to advance amity among homeowners, not only of Rosewood Pointe, but of other DMCI Homes developments as well.  Launched just last April, Olympics 2008: An Inter-Community Sports Activity of DMCI Homes pits residents from nine different developments in a friendly battle for athletic supremacy.  Taking part in the games, which will run until the second week of June, are homeowners from The Manors, Mayfield Park Residences, East Ortigas Mansions, Dansalan Gardens, Lake View, Palm Grove, Morning Sun, Raya Garden Condominiums, and Rosewood Pointe.  They will be competing in events such as basketball, volleyball, swimming, bowling and badminton.  The games culminate with a Family Fun Day wherein more family-oriented and entertaining activities like sack race, three-point shootout, 2-on-2 volleyball, obstacle race, and aquatic events will be played.

"Resident participation is very high, and we've been getting really positive feedback," enthuses Concepcion. "We look forward to more similar undertakings in the future."

He adds, "Aside from conceptualizing such projects, we also initiate skills training such as first aid and basic life support for members of the PMO.  In turn, the PMO extends the know-how to the residents."

Evidently, Rosewood Pointe is slowly becoming the community that it is envisioned to be.  Residents are beginning to get more comfortable with each other.  The gentle calm that starts the day off is now pleasantly broken in tender trickles by hearty laughter, gracious smiles, and knowing acts of friendship and kindness.  Rosewood Pointe is slowly but surely coming to life.
